About UPSC
UPSC the royal commission on the supreme civil services in India under the chairman – ship of lord lee, which submitted its report in 1924, recommended the setting up of the PSC. This led to the establishment of the first psc on 1st October 1926 under the chairman – ship of Sir Ross Barker. The limited advisory function awarded to the PSC and the continued stress on this aspect by the leaders of our freedom movement resulted in the setting up of a Federal Public service commission under the government of India Act, 1935. The Federal Public service commission became the UPSC after independent and it was given a Constitutional status with promulgation of constitution of India on 26th January 1950.
UPSC recruitment 2017 Notification 179 Assistant Commandants vacancies
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 179 Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) viz. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Qualification:- Candidates who wanted to participate for UPSC Assistant Commandants job must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit:- 20 to 25 years as on 01/08/2017 relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC
Hiring Process:- Selection will be based on Recruitment Test and Interview.
Fee charges:- Applicants who wanted to participate for Assistant Commandants vacancy should pay the below charges through depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.
