About GSEB
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or GSEB is a government of Gujarat body responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and intellectual direction the state's higher educational system takes.
The Gujarat board was formed on 1 May 1960. It is very popular board in the Gujarat State. It conducts state level exam. The main academic task of GSEB is the preparation of syllabus for secondary schools and also the recommendation of text-books to be taught in government schools. The Board also performs the duties of recognizing new schools, performance evaluation of schools and inspections of various schools associated with the Board.
The GSEB conducts 2 (including 4 semester type examinations) main examinations - The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam for Standard 10 and the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC)examination for Standard XI-XII students in Gujarat. The Board also holds a Talent Search for students of Std VIII & IX in five major subjects every year. It is divided in 2 major parts.
GSEB 10th Result 2017: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is ready to release GSEB class 10 Result 2017 at the end of this academic year on 29th May 2017. The Board will soon release the Gujarat Board SSC Result and will be notified to the students that who has written the exam. The Scores of students who had appeared for the SSC exam which was conducted by the Gujarat Board this year can be check through the official website gseb.org. The number of students participating in 10th public exams this year has been much more huge in number than the previous year.

The Gujarat SSC 2017 exams ended on 25 March and the GSEB HSC (General & Science) exams ended on 30 March 2017 respectively. Students will be able to check the GSEB 10th Result 2017 and the Gujarat Board 12th Result 2017 using their Name and Roll No. The GSEB 10th Results 2017 will be declared on the official website of the Gujarat Board. Both the GSEB SSC Result 2017 and the Gujarat Board HSC Result 2017 will be announced on www.modigovtlive.com and the official website gseb.org upon the completion of the Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams 2017.

As per the above table, in the year 2013, total 2,89,2014 candidates were appeared in the examination. In year 2014, total 3, 55,821 candidates appeared in the examination which was increased from last year. In the year 2015, 83.12% candidates qualified the exam out of 4, 04,402 appearing candidates. As compared to last year, the total no. of candidates appeared in the examination was increased. In year 2016, total 4, 72,561 candidates appeared in the exam along which 86.69% candidates pass the examination.
